To LIve As In A Dream

Let me begin with a couple though-provoking quotes.

“Starlight, I keep chasing the starlight, till the end of my life...”--Muse, Starlight

“All changes, even the most longed for, have their melancholy; for what we leave behind us is a part of ourselves; we must die to one life before we can enter another.”--Anatole France

In my roots, I would dream of a world without war, of everyone getting along, of united religions, of youth like myself at the time being understood and listened to with our wisdom that I thought the others must have forgotten or given up on in their age.

Now as I fear getting old, I think of what scars may have shaped my personality and what I can do to be my best most passionate me.

Jesus wants us to be one. Bernie Sanders' ideal dreams of the world matched mine before I rediscovered Jesus and still do, he has passion.

We must die to the entitlements and concerns of this world in order to get that camel of ours through the eye of the needle into heaven. No more political rivalry, just support of the unity and of those issues that support life and the common good.

We must live with passion.

A Gamble

Picture
Life and living isn't ever a certainty.

It is a gamble, a risk, a leap of faith.

It is a matter of trust. A matter of love.

When I first saw you at that poetry reading in November 2002, I knew I had to make it count. I knew it was an answered prayer. I knew that importance of living in the moment to the fullest and of pursuing the dreams. I knew I had found the one for real this time, and that cosmic connection intuitively told me that there was a grand design to everything, and I leapt.

To say that everything happens for a reason has meaning for me in my mature age.

To say that every day is another step to be taken one at a time, and to trust and reach out in faith, is something I have to learn time and time again and remind myself before circumstances remind me by consequence.

I know joys never known before my faith, by the peace that I found in the moment next to you, my wife, and in the bigger you inside of each of us, the Messiah that sacrificed out of love to make us able to be forgiven for every little mistake that we make along the way.

I wish you all a peaceful Lenten season. Hear from you soon.

Life with Love

Picture
Valentine's is almost here, and shortly after my spouse's birthday. It's a time of joy and bliss indescribable, at the same time excitement and fretting over how to make it the most special one yet.

Poetry and compassion have always been me and my wife's bonding forte. We have a need for, and an output creativity for, making each other's lives better. If expectations are the requirement for peace, we would never have stability, but fortunately we have faith as the basis and foundation for that. So I leave this thought for you in preparation for the holiday...

Find that moment when you are close to the one you love, and celebrate it like it will never come again, for it never will be the same moment. Live it out to the fullest doing what you think your loved one will find the best, and show attention to what they value and cherish. Make that expression of loving include their needs, not just a cry for attention. Create something beautiful and personal. Give something that has thought of who they are, quirks and all. And most of all, consider anything they might feel in the decisions you make and in the actions you take the time to do.

God bless!
